  • ASNU 1250p Injector | ASNU

< Back ASNU 1250p Injector Laura Bonafont 19 Nov 2020 ASNU New Product - ASNU 1250p Performance Injector We are pleased to announce the release of our new 1250cc Performance Injector! The new ASNU 1250p injector is a 1250cc Flow Rate injector at 85% Duty Cycle and is the latest addition to the unique ASNU range of purpose-built Performance Injectors. The 1250P is a result of a partnership between Robert Bosch GmbH designing and producing the 1250P core injector exclusively to meet ASNU's requirement and ASNU's own years of experience of Performance Injector designing and production of Orifice Plates to provide the best possible combination of Spray Pattern and Flow Rate to suit thousands of applications and requirements. As with all ASNU Performance Injectors, the injector has a multi hole spray pattern and the 1250P in particular has a unique hole design that together with its excellent Linear operation this means very stable and controllable fuelling at extremely short pulse widths, during cranking, idle and low RPMs, whilst still meeting the engine's fuelling requirements at the top end. The 1250P is a tuner's delight when used on road cars due to the ease of satisfying the customers' Performance and Driveability demands but also helping keep it within the Emission regulations - something many tuners and Performance vehicle owners sometimes find hard to achieve. Equally, for a Race engine, the 1250P will ensure a perfect air/fuel mix and giving the cleanest burn during the combustion stroke with the minimum amount of fuel expelled on the exhaust stroke, something that happens if the fuel does not burn fully. The advantages of good atomisation for a Race Engine is well documented. ASNU take that atomisation to a new level in race engine requirements by providing better throttle response, better efficiency, less engine wear from unburnt fuel causing bore-wash. This will also mean lighter fuel loads and for timed applications this would mean less pit stops required. The ASNU 1250P is ideal for all performance applications and ASNU have fitments & adapters to suit all port manifolds and fuel rails on the market. • Injector Fitting Instructions | ASNU

This page displays Injector Fitting Instructions for customers to follow. Injector Fitting Instructions/Assembly Guide Fuel suitability ASNU injectors are designed for operation with gasoline based fuels up to E98, and are able to operate long term on fuels containing MTBE or ETBE. For other fuels such as Methanol-M100, please contact us to discuss suitability, as alternative seals and O-rings may be required. Assembly It is necessary to lubricate both the upper and lower O-rings and any manifold seals before installation into both the engine and the fuel rail. We recommend the use of a clean, non-silicon based motor oil. Ensure the oil does not contaminate the internals of the injector or the spray plate assembly. For certain turbocharged applications, the sealing tolerances for the injector to manifold/cylinder head have been changed to ensure a leak free installation at higher than stock boost levels where the OE seals can cause leaks. If, during maintenance, the injectors are removed and are to be refitted, fresh O-rings should be used. Spare O-rings can be purchased from ASNU’s approved Distributors or Service Centres . Installation When fully assembled into a cold engine, the injector must be free to rotate around its’ axis with a small amount of longitudinal movement (0.5 to 1.5mm). This ensures that the injector is not damaged by over compression when thermal expansion of the injector and related engine components occurs. We advise checking your fuel rail manufacturer's instructions for compatibility with our injectors if you are not using an ASNU fuel rail. Filtration A minimum filtration of 10 Microns is required for short term operation <3000 miles. For long term operation >3000 miles a filtration level of 5 Microns is advised. The life of the in-line fuel filter is to be determined by the user in response to environmental conditions and fuel quality. Failure to adhere to these limits may result in a drop in injector flow / performance and damage to the injector itself. Service Life and Storage To maintain the performance and tight operating tolerances of the injector, it is advised to send your injectors to ASNU Service Centres to check their operation and be cleaned if necessary. We recommend replacing the O-rings during their service. Chemical cleaners may damage the injector and should not be used. Injectors that have been unused for some time such as with stored vehicles or spare parts should be checked before operation.
